Neopets Art

I love Neopets! Not only is it fun, and cool, and addictive, but it taught me almost everything I know about drawing. ^.~ All this stuff spans a year and a half of my art, so some of the earlier stuff is... *cough* certainly not what I'm drawing now. x.X Sorted from oldest to newest, as always. Due to the sheer volume of my Neopets drawings, I'm going to try to get them all up, but if I get bored halfway through and start putting up just a few samples, then you'll know why. x.X I'm also not going to put up my fan art for other people, or art trades, or pics that are too small for me to make a good thumbnail from them. The name(s) of the pet(s) in the drawing are underneath the thumbnail.

All of these (with a few exceptions) were drawn with pencil and paper, scanned in, and colored on the computer. Some were colored just from the pencil lines, others from a fine-tip pen outline, and the most recent ones re-outlined on the computer with the mouse before coloring. Colored and manipulated with Adobe PhotoDeluxe 4.0 and the mouse.

HINT: Unless you've got a morbid sense of humor or are obsessed with me or something, don't even bother with the first 5 pages or so. -.-;;

Rya This pic, which for a long and cumbersome title I call "The Mystery Island Leprachaun Faerie", was for the St. Patrick's Day special in the Art Gallery. I think I know why it wasn't accepted... my outlining pen had gotten lost so I outlined on the computer, but my lines were too thin and pixellated. Ah well, I still like it. The palm tree turned out well. ^.^ A version without the background was also entered in the Beauty Contest for Rya, but didn't do much. :(

Damie What would Damie look like if he were human? Well, this is my interpretation. The shading on his T-shirt and jeans could have used some less drastic colors or at least more blending, but I actually like the way I designed him. My computer outlines were quite shaky, too. NOTE: I don't RP in human/anthro forms for my pets. I just draw them occasionally. x.X

Duo, Gordo Duo and her boyfriend Gordo. I was experimenting with an unorthodox pose, I guess. ^.^ The lines are still pretty shaky since I was just learning how to mouse outline, but I think I was starting to realize the advantages of learning to use my mouse instead of my outline pen. For one, coloring just got a whole lot easier. ^-^

Duo Duo loves her fans... all 3 of them. ^^; Done as a centerpiece for Duo's new page. She herself is cute, and I'm absolutely in love with the background. *stares at its blotchy smudgy pinky-purple-ness* o.O

Kio Design pic and first ever picture of Kio, my lucky Shoyru. ^^ He's pretty cute in this pic... almost a little too doughy, though. And I was learning to shade in green, as I never drew Mari, my other green pet, much. o.O;; My first Shoyru pic ever.
