Longings

Longings

Feel me
reaching inside you
touching your heart
caressing your soul.

I want to bury my head
in the chest of your soul,
imbed myself
in the warmth of it,
soak myself
in the rays of it.
I want to
be you,
know you,
from the inside out.

I want you in me
feeling, from the inside
how my heart beats for you,
my soul aches for you,
my collective whole
cries out for the presence of you.

Like two missing pieces
in the puzzle of life,
we find one another.
We fit,
we belong,
we find our home,
where destiny calls us,
where we are one,
finally complete,
as the halves
become whole.

Betrayal

Is it not betrayal
when his hands touch me
and I wish they were yours?
Betrayal to you, to me,
AND to him?

Crying,
I bury my head
deeply in the pillow
to muffle my tears,
leaving them silent;
for only me to share.

It is in these moments
that I hate
who I am,
what I have become.

There are no winners
and no losers here
only silent whispers
from the
corners of my mind
telling me
my house
is not in order.

SeaDreams, 10-17-99

Silent Whispers

Under cover of dark
muffled by the wind
and noises of the night
I hold my breath
and draw you in
to that special place
that is ours alone
where no-one will
disturb us
and we belong only
to each other.

Holding tight
to your heart
I feel your love
soft and warm
surround me
I bathe
in the warmth
of you
rejoice
to the sound
of you

Our hearts
beat as one
in two bodies
only complete
when they share
all that is within them
with that other half.

Our bodies
created uniquely for each of us,
and yet, made to fit
as we know they will
the missing pieces of our lives
bound forever
by the silken threads of love.

Basking in the Glow

Like bathing
in the yellow warmth of holy water...
or making love
long and leisurely
on a Tuesday afternoon:
the rest of the world
caught up in work
and realities,
while we travel across the heavens-
our wings carrying us
to new worlds of beauty
the colors of rainbows...

Like fields of flowers
on a summer afternoon,
where daisies dance
to the tune of the gentle breeze

Like walking into the light;
being immersed in the light;
becoming one with the light.
I am the trees and the skies and the angels,
the newborn baby testing her lungs
and the fawn in the forest,
raising itself
on shaky toothpick legs.

I am the smell
of the salty ocean air,
the dewdrops clinging to grass
bathed in warm summer rain,
the lilacs in springtime
and the earthly smell of fire
on a crisp autumn afternoon.

I am a melody
the mystical flute
and an African drum beat

Pablo Picasso,
rolled into DaVinci,
with a sprinkling of Rembrant,
some Reubens for warmth,
and Monets romantic pastels.

I am the white canvas
awaiting the artists hand.

I am brilliant-
the colors of the rainbow,
yet the peaceful lavenders
of a desert sunset.

I feel
the hands of the healers
as they touch my soul,
the soft tickle of feathers,
and the lovers warm caress.

I can taste you
the sweet nectar of honey
pure as the waters
from mountain springs
the salt of your sweat,
clinging
in the crease of your neck.

My senses are stirred
at the sound of your voice.

Girl in the Mirror (this rolled through my head as a song one day, and just seemed to stick - Who can explain the creative mind?) Girl in the Mirror, do I even know you anymore? Oh girl in the mirror, did I slip out from the door? Baby in the mirror, you are a precious little sheep. With innocence and newness not buried far beneath the deep. Woman in the mirror, what have I done to make you cry? When I would never try to hurt you, why do the tears flow from your eyes? Lady in the mirror, can you even hear me speak? Todays turn to tomorrows and the days turn to the weeks. Can anybody hear me? I need to know Im not alone. When times are black and silent Ive got to feel Ive got a home. Girl in the mirror I really hate to watch you weep. Theres sunshine all around you just try to rest and get some sleep. Girl in the mirror I see the beauty in your smile. lets walk this path together two pairs of footprints through the miles. Old man I can tell you the darkests just before the dawn so waken in the morning and all your troubles will be gone. Sitting on my deathbed I look upon the raging sea the storms, they did some damage but then I warmed by gentle breeze. Sometimes when youre lonely it seems there nowhere left to go. But tenderness and loving bring on warmth to melt the snow. Sometimes when you hold me I see the world as from your eyes. This world can be a great place and it should come as no surprise. Lately when Im near you I only feel the fire explode the warmth, the love, the sparks gone and I have nothing left to hold. many times I realize that its surely time to go yet something keeps me near you and I cant make myself let go. Why am I so stubborn? When the wind should flow beneath my feet And carry me to new worlds where days are made of smiles and glee? I know that somethings out there that turns my heartache into light Someday Ill get my nerve up and make whats wrong turn into right. Baby, when you hold me its as if theres rainbows in the air I dream I wish I hope that well someday be a perfect pair. Baby, please dont leave me Someday Ill make it all turn right! Just be a little patient and let our dreams, our hearts, take flight Babe, you have to know that its YOU thats filling up my heart: If Id the strength within me, then you and I would never part. Babe, I want to hold you and give you all I have within until the souls within us would meld and form in loves union. With our bodies joined, Love, ambrosia flows within our loins and when that day comes, Baby, our ALLs will be forever joined! One day I WILL touch you and we will both know its so right- as if heavens, lit with fireworks turn all the darkness into the light. ALWAYS, you will be there and maybe not beyond my reach and ALWAYS I will love you and cherish all you are to me. SeaDreams, 7-13-99
