CSS Tags

In CSS it is clear that using Span and Div with class or id tags you could create your own html language for formatting. However the W3C strongly recommend that you don't. The reason being that this would defeat the purpose of the original intention of the web.

What I have noticed is that most blog skins use their own classes to to the web page design. What is wrong with H1 H4 etc. OK so that may have space before and after by you can set the margin:0px; to blow that away. All of my tags are standard html code except for the column definition and the column headings. The by-line is an Address tag the blog entry title is a H4, that date is H3 even the description is just a H2. I do my quotes using Blockquote.

Please stick to the html standards, besides it will increase your search rankings as Google and other will know how to find the important stuff such as headings.
