This weekend I stayed at The Spires at Leura in the Blue Mountains. This a new apartment hotel in Leura and my family stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The building is quite secure, with security doors for the undercover parking, operated but a remote with the hotel keys. The foyer to the apartment building is also locked with an intercom to let guests in with, and our room was a two room layout, each with their own keys.

The main bedroom was like a hotel room, bedroom with a table and kitchen facilities, TV, en suite with shower and toilet. The other room was an apartment. Kitchen area with full size fridge, microwave, oven, stove, dishwasher and basic but complete kitchen equipment. This looked over the lounge, with coffee table, TV and a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the property. This also had a sperate twin bedroom and sperate bathroom, with a shower over a spa bath. The furnishings are modern and tasteful. The lounge is a sofa bed so the room could hold up to six people.

The Apartments are within easy walking distance from the main street of Leura, and the railway station that comes in from Sydney. It is only a short drive to the Leura Falls and the Three Sisters
