Knights of this order are those in the Realm who (or non-citizens who the Crown believes) best exemplfies the qualities of the age-old concept of what it truly means to be a warrior. Vermillion means crimson, or blood red, and signifies the sword that has been annointed with the life's blood of the enemies of the Crown.

Yet, when WE speak of being a warrior, we are NOT discussing the perpetuation of war itself. A warrior does not fight war --- for war is mass-destructive, ant-farm fighting, which neither promotes nor supports any kind of honor, respect for friend or foe, and usually does NOT support the principles that real warriors fight for. Such Knights may use the inititals "OVB" after their name, may use the title of Sir or Dame (depending on gender), and may wear a pin with a horizontal crimson twin-edged blade on their left breast.

The members of the Order of the Vermillion Blade are collectively considered the "Sword" of the Realm. Currently, the designation of Warrior Prime in the Order of the Vermillion Blade is held by the one Monarch who best reprresents the qualities of the Warrior's Way: Kasimir Diana, Regina.
