A digital being native to the Digital World. Prior to the events of DOTEXE, Benjamin was one of the countless programs utilized by the Digital World to ensure its seamless operation. As one of the last of these programs created, he was assigned more menial tasks like sorting influxes of data so that the network remained efficient and operational. And then the unthinkable happened and Benjamin was left alone.

The Digital World was falling apart and there was no one left to boost its cry for help.

As the sole survivor of Gennai's clones, Benjamin took on the perilous job of bringing the Digidestined into the Digital World. With that single decision, he became a target. For Ophanimon, for Piedmon and yet Benjamin felt he had no choice.

Once the Digidestined take their first steps into the Digital World, Benjamin casts himself as their guide throughout their adventure. He does his best to keep them on track while avoiding drawing too much attention to himself. When he can't be physically present (which is often), he promises he's but a simple phone call away. Too bad he so rarely answers.

personality

On the surface, Benjamin is polite and kind, despite the hardships he's faced since this ordeal began. He doesn't have an unkind word to say about anyone, even the digimon responsible for the Digital World's current state. He's optimistic, almost to the point of naivety. He carries a burden he feels wholly unworthy of but completely responsible for now that Gennai is gone. He feels his survivor's guilt keenly, but doesn't let it stop him from doing his best to help the Digidestined find their way.
