Although this dramatic shot was taken by someone else, it still looks great on this page, don't you think? CLICK! to enlarge. Seoul Demonstrations!

Seoul, South Korea
- For years, this city has been the scene of countless demonstrations, staged by student, labor, and other special interest groups. As shown on CNN and other news sources, those demonstrations have occasionally turned into violent riots, which are very dangerous situations--especially for foreigners like me. So you can imagine the sudden surge of adrenalin I felt when, one fine spring day, while waiting for a bus, I suddenly found myself engulfed by thousands of Korean riot police who were "just doin' their jobs, ma'am."

Because everything happened so quickly, I wasn't able to ready my camera until after I was on the bus.  The following pics were all taken from inside the bus.
