Hey! Where have all the flowers gone??

CLICK! to view original picWell, uhh... to tell the truth, while I was there, taking in all the traditional and colourful costumes, dances, food, and drink, I completely forgot to take pictures of flowers!

But I did get my 15 minutes of fame when I was interviewed by a TV journalist with the Korean Broadcasting System. She asked me some typical human interest questions: "How long have you been in Korea? What are you doing here--working or holidaying? What do you think of our country? What's your impression of the traditional ceremonies and dances that you've been observing?" etc., etc.

I never did get to see the interview but, a few months later, I met a nice Korean couple who did....and who also said they remembered me! It's so delightfully uncanny that, after more than 40 years in Canada (where I never once got interviewed for the evening news) I move to an Asian city of approximately 12,000,000 people (where it's easy to feel very small and insignificant) and, within just a few short weeks, find myself being featured in a piece on the evening news!

The Pomp & Pageantry...
