Special Moves Hadouken - (r, m, 4, 3) Shoryuken - (h, h, 4, 3, airborne attack, +1 speed against other airborne attacks, opponent is knocked back and falls) Spear - (r, h, 4, 2, follow-up) Teleport Punch - (r, h, 5, 3, only hits if used at ranged, user is at -1 speed on next action if blocked) Suplex - (h, m, 4, 4, unblockable, opponent is knocked back and falls) Teleport - counts as movement, moves user to hand-to-hand with opponent and gives user +1 speed on next action, requires one tech point to use. Projectile Reflection - counts as movement, for 2 turns any projectiles fired at the user will be reflected back and damage the opponent. Invisibility - counts as movement, turns user invisible, an invisible kombatant cannot be seen by any other kombatants and gets +1 speed when dodging, everything else (movement, attacks, blocking, etc) is handled as normal, user turns visible upon taking damage.

John Tobias is one of the two Elder Gods that created the Mortal Kombat tournament in order to give Earth a chance to defend itself from predators in other realms. He has witnessed great warriors come and go through the generations of Mortal Kombat and he has reached a major decision concerning their skills; the are weak in comparison to his own. Tobias joins the tournament in order to teach all of the warriors how to truly fight. He wishes to improve the kombatants' skills by having the warriors learn first hand what a true warrior is. Tobias has even limited his true powers to those comparable to several of the other warriors so that each fighter may have a chance against attacks and skills they are familiar with. He fights neither with alliances nor alignment to anyone in particular.
