Potatoes (you can use flakes, pearls, or the real thing) Flakes or Pearls: make enough for 10-12 servings Real spuds: 6-8 cooked and mashed Cube spuds (peel if you like) and cook in a pot with water just covering potatoes, until tender. Drain, add 1/2 cup butter cubed, mash adding milk a 1/4 cup at a time until desired consistency. 1 lb. ground beef, browned, drained of fat 2 medium size cans tomato sauce 1 to 2 cans green beans (which ever is your desire), drained 4 oz. cheddar, shredded Preparation: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Using a 13x9 pan, mix beef, sauce, and green beans. Top with potatoes and then cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbly around sides and cheese is melted and slightly brown. |
