Common Glider Dragonflies can be found on pond or very slow running large area waters. Males show very strong territory behaviour. The male rest on a spot, if the same species come near, they will drive them away. The dragonflies usually glide and fly fast. They spend half of the time flying and half of them time rest. Near evening, those dragonflies will rest on tree top near the water.

The male Common Glider in the above picture was not fully mature yet. Its body was still in pale brown colour. It would take some days to become fully mature with bright red body colour. This picture was taken on Oct 2004.
