Spring Schedule Announced
New Season Forth Coming EVENTUALLY! (3/9)

PISA released the Spring schedules today. The only drawback is that the Dragons do not open until Wednesday March 30th, yes you read it correctly the 30th! All this means is that the team doctors have okayed most of the roster to cycle up on their steroid program (PISA has not testing policy you know) and to continue their off-season conditioning programs as prescribed.

For details on the schedule, please go to the Schedule link on the left. We continue to be in the F Division and the same teams are back for the most part. Agent Orange, No Army, Goon Squad and Shockers are all back. Its a five team division as well.

See you all on the 30th!

Finale Goes to the Shockers
4-0 Loss Caps Season (3/3)

The Dragons were shutout in their second consecutive game Tuesday night, 4-0 vs the Shockers. This game wraps up a disappointing Winter campaign for the ole Blanc et Rouge, 1-10-1.

Not much else to say about this except that team management is looking forward to next season and already perusing existing contracts and looking the free agent list for this offseason. Team management expects that all players will get their mandatory off-season conditioning program going and be in tip-top shape for next season when that begins in a couple of weeks.

Agent Orange Whitewashes Dragons
Ninth Loss for Dragons (2/24)

The Dragons were shutout 4-0 last evening at the hands of Agent Orange. Playing with a skeleton crew due to the early start time, the Dragons could not manage the offense needed to break through against Agent Orange.

Allowing a mere 34 shots on net, the Dragons allowed three goals in the first and only one in the second. But it was enough to put the Dragons down for the ninth time this season in eleven games.

The final game of the Winter campaign is next Tuesday March 1st at 10PM against the Shockers.

Goon Squad Too Much for Dragons
Offense Comes too Late in 6-4 Loss (2/22)

The Dragons were defeated Tuesdya night 6-4 by the Goon Squad. With the offense of Mike Connors coming a smidge to late, the Dragons could not match the firepower the Goons brought to the table.

After Jim Gaglione notched the game's first goal, the Squad answered with 4 goals until Dave Carter scored on a power play. But the GS then scored two of their own before Connors scored two in the final 1:25 to make it close. Adding helpers tonight were Galione, Chris Szymula, Carter and Jim Hannon.

Up next is Agent Orange Wedensday 2/23 at 6PM when the Dragons go back to the ole Red throwback jerseys.

Dragons Notch Win
First Win of Season (2/19)

The Dragons notched their first win of the season in the 9th game of the season over the Horsemen on Saturday afternoon.

Jim Galione led the scoring with 5 goals and an assist, Chris Szymula added 2 and 3, Rit Carter had 1 and 3. Dave Carter, Eric Vieweg (first Dragon goal) and Mike Ugliorolo each had a goal and Mike Connors added a pair of assists.

Up next is the Goon Squad on Tuesday 2/22 followed by a matchup with Agent Orange on Wednesday.

Dragons Get Pounded
Ouch Babe!, 10-1 Drubbing (2/19)

For lack of better writing skills, the Dragons got pounded last night. Taking a 10-1 loss at the hands of Team USA. Everything that could have gone wrong did for the ole Blanc et Rouge. No part of this game was worth the effort it takes to write the game up in this writers opinion. But alas here we are hashing it yet again.

The mistakes started when the Dragons pulled the throwback jerseys out of mothballs and were compounded from there. Missing key players last night did not help the effort as the Dragosn seemed to have no answer anywhere on the dek. This was not a good way to start the four game West Coast swing.

Scoring the lone goal for the Dragons was Dave Carter assisted by Mike Ugliorolo. Up next for the Dragons is the Horsemen tonight 2/19 at 4PM. Followed by games next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Team USA Knocks Off Dragons
Still Winless for Winter (2/6)

The Dragons remained winless for the Winter Session (0-6-1) after a 3-2 loss to Team USA Friday night. After clawing back from a 0-2 deficit to tie Team USA at 2 with about 4 minutes left in the third, Team USA scored what proved to be the game winner about a minute later when the Dragons failed to get a clear of their zone.

Scoring for the Dragons were Kathy Higgins, a consensus number 1 star for the Blanc et Rouge, and Rit Carter. Adding the only assist on the night was Mike Connors. After arguably having his worst game as a Dragon the prior Tuesday against No Army, netminder Mike Mariano stoped 41 of 44 shots on the night.

Now comes the tough 4 game west coast swing after a 2-week layoff. Up next will be the very same Team USA on Friday February 18th at 8PM, followed by the Horseman on Saturday February 19th at 4PM.

Dragons Remain Winless
8-3 Loss to Division Leader (2/2)

The Dragons remained winless for the Winter session as they dropped an 8-3 decision to No Army Tuesday night. After scoring the first goal of the game the Dragons proceded to give up the next 8 over the first two periods.

Scoring tonight for the Dragons were Rit Carter (2g) and Jim Gaglione (1g 1a). Adding helpers were Dave Carter (2), Mike Connors (2a) and Eric Vieweg (1a).

With the loss it brings the Dragons record to 0-5-1 for the season. things look bleak in Dragon town but with the up coming 4 game west coast swing on tap for the 18th of the month, one never knows what the Drgons will come up with.

Up next for the Dragons is Team USA on Friday 2/4 at 8PM.

Slide Returns for Dragons
Lose 4-3 to Horsemen (1/26)

Well most of the Pool reporters following the Dragons thought that last week's tie was the impetus the Dragons needed to go on a roll, but again playing from behind the Dragons could not muster enough offense to come out victorious. With this 4-3 loss to the Horsemen the Dragons drop to 0-4-1 on the season.

Scoring for the Dragons were Dave Carter, Jim Gaglione and Rit Carter. Adding helpers were Chris Szymula, Dave Spencer and Rit Carter. Surprisingly enough the Blanc et Rouge were only outshot 30-29. and once again only a couple of fluky (is that a word?) goals on netminder Mike Mariano kept the Dragons out of the win column.

Up next for the Dragons is No Army on Tuesday 2/1 at 9PM and then followed by Team USA on Friday 2/4 at 8PM.

Dragons Break Into Point Column
2-2 Tie With Agent Orange (1/18)

Once again playing shorthanded, the Dragons this time managed a point as they tied Agent Orange 2-2 Tuesday night. Despite being outshot 32-13, goalie Mike Mariano kept the Dragons in this one with some exciting and magnificent saves.

Jim Gaglione and Mike Connors netted the goals tonight assisted by DAve Carter and with his SECOND (Summer 04 was the first in case you were wanting to know) DRAGON POINT, Eric Vieweg! Mariano netted his first point as the Dragons netminder and the Dragons got their first point of the season, now 0-3-1.

Also of note usually getnlemanly winger Jim Gaglione picked up his first penalty in 7 seasons tonight with a highstick in the third period.

Up next for the Dragons is the Horsemen next Tuesday 1/25 at 9PM.

Shockers Do In Dragons
IronMan 10-2 Defeat (1/11)

With the Asian Flu seemingly running rampant on the team, the Dragons lost 10-2 to the Shockers Tuesday night in a snowstorm. With only 5 players and Mike Mariano in net the Dragons took on the endless roster of players that the Shockers brought to bear tuesday night. With Rit Carter, Jim Gaglione, Kathy Higgins, Chris Szymula and Dave Carter on hand it was just a matter of time before the Shockers overwhelmed the Blanc et Rouge.

But the Dragons scored first at the 7:24 mark of the first on a goal by Rit Carter and then it was all downhill from there as the Shockers scored the next 8 before Jim Gaglione answered with 3:34 left.

This loss leaves the Dragons 0-3 on the season but a long way to go before all is said and done. Up next for the Dragons is Agent Orange next Tuesday (1/18) at 9PM.

Game ON!
6-4 Loss in Game 2 (1/4)

After an interminably long wait the Dragons were back in action last night. The Goon Squad dropped them 6-4. This marks the first game for the Dragons since Linbergh crossed the Atlantic it seems (no really since 12/14). Despite the layoff, the Blanc et Rouge played better than the first game oh so many eons ago.

Producing goals for the Dragons last night were - Kathy Higgins, Mike Connors, Jim Gaglione, and Rit Carter. Netminder Mike Mariano kept the Dragons close and made some Vieweg-like saves (maybe having Eric on the Dek is already rubbing off on Mike) stopping 31 of 37 shots.

It was also noted by several members of the media in the post game news conference that Mr. Versatility Jim Hannon, sparked the offense in the third period, and that his influx of speed was almost Stewart-esque at times. Members of the Dragons were not available for comment on this topic......

Up next for the Dragons are the Shockers on Tuesday 1/11 at 9PM.

Roster Changes (so far) for the Winter
Additions and Deletions (12/14)

"We start a new season and also have some changes to announce," Team Management staed at their press conference Tuesday prior to taking the deck for the contest against No Army. Team officials announced that net minder Jim Marks was not returning due to contractual problems, and also that wingers Doug Stewart and Steve Lamonica were not returning as well. All are huge losses to the team most analysts were heard to say this afternoon. Some team insiders also hinted that defenseman Dave Spencer might also miss the season with contractual issues but this was not confirmed by any team official today but Spencer was not at tonight's game making that supposition look very solid indeed.

Along with these losses Dragons officials did announce the signing of a new goalie, Mike Mariano formerly of the Greenchiefs. This was due to the efforts of winger Kathleen Higgins. Rumors are flying that she wined and dined Mr Mariano similar to Theo Epstein and Curt Schilling... one has to wonder... The Team is grateful for Ms. Higgins efforts! The Dragons also announced the resigning to a contract defenseman James Hannon. Hannon rejoins the team after a long stint in rehab, rumors had been flying that he almost did not pass his team physical Tuesday. Rumors still persisted but the media was assured that no steriod doping was necessary for Mr Hannon and that his use of "The Cream" and "The Clear" were prescribed by actual medical Drs. The Dragons fully expect a full season from the stellar defenseman.

There was also speculation of more moves to come, but none were confirmed at game time. But it was rumored that at least one possibly two additional players are still to be added.

No Army Drops Dragons
4-1 Loss Opens Season (12/14)

Well its official, the Dragons opened the Winter campaign and also lost the opener. The 4-1 loss to No Army opened the Dragons' winter sesion and marked their return to the F Division.

With a new goalie, Mike Mariano, the Dragons still managed to be outshot 35 to 15. The lone goal was scored by Captain Dave Carter assisted by Kathy Higgins. And now marks a long off period for the holidays as the Dragons do not play again until Tuesday 1/4 at 10PM against the Goon Squad.

New Season Announced
First Game 12/14 (11/30)

The first game of the Winter 2004 campaign is set for Tuesday 12/14 at 6PM vs No Army. It appears as if we have been moved down a division at this time. Further details on the schedule will be posted over the weekend.

Deposit Due Friday
Cutoff Date for Rosters 13/2 (11/30)

Our deposit is due by friday for the Winter season. If you can between now and then put something down to help hold our spot (in which division, I just don't know), management would appreciate it.

Special thanks to Dennis C.

For the impetus to create a Dragons web page. And for more than just a little of the HTML!
