4/1/99 - Happy April Fools!, Nintendo officially joins the celebration with a totally "gag" website with altered proof screenshots that the Triforce is in Zelda 64. There seems to be some kind of severe technical problem transpiring with IMPACT GAMING SERVER. I'm real sorry about this. I've tried to make contact with the webmasters at Impact Gaming but they also seem to be in an E-mail black out too. I can't get any mail myself, so I assume similar for them. Well, all I can say is I'm not to happy about it, but I'll wait and see what happens. In the mean time just come back here to the old site address for new info until the server is fixed. Oh, and about the Miyamoto interview. There were a lot of people thinking it was on March 7, but no I clearly stated that it would be held on MAY 7 then posted most likely on MAY 8. I REPEAT, MAY 7. Got that. Thanks.
3/9/99 - Inside sources say ADD ON CARTRIDGE FOR ZELDA A REALITY! NEW DUNGEONS AND PLOTS? As soon as I find out more on this I will definitely let everybody know about it. Keep checking back on this developing story.

Since I created the Odyssey of Hyrule some time ago I always knew that someday the site would become something great, something that gamers worldwide would come to find as a haven for their thoughts and ideas as well as a source for gaming information that is entirely unique and exclusive. Recently I have been in contact with a newly developing internet gaming scene called Impactgaming.net. Together with the power of their servers and my creativity I can now actualize the greatest Zelda internet experience possible. My affiliate Impact Gaming is also poised to become an internet hub for console and PC gaming related issues. The new site is under development so you may not see any big updates for the next several days, but rest assured when I debut the new site, the wait will be worth it. At this time I am entertaining any ideas you gamers would like to see in the next site. Please feel free to tell me what you would like, and as time goes by I will be able to impliment these things on the new site. The time has come to embark on the greatest Zelda adventure of them all...

2/19/99 - Howdy Gamers. Video Gamer X is back in the saddle for some Zelda 64 info. Now that the storm from that Triforce fiasco has quelled we can focus on more down to earth Zelda issues. Will there be another Zelda? Will Miyamoto be at the helm of the Next Generation of Zelda Games for N2000? Only time, and Nintendo will tell. One thing is for sure with the success of Zelda 64 it is without a doubt that another sequel will undoubtedly arise. Keep checking back for more news regarding the next Zelda sequel. I have added a new section to answer Frequently Asked Questions that continuously appear in my mail-box. Please read this section before you send me a letter, you may find your answer in there. 2/6/99 - Latest News. The Odyssey of Hyrule has become very popular. You fans out there racked up a whopping 2.3 million hits on the site in the month of January. That's astounding to say the least. Those looking for your stories, will see them some time in the coming week. I must make an announcement here though, before you E-mail me, please read the site thoroughly, because I've been getting remarks and questions about things I've already addressed somewhere on the site. Please, I know it's a big site, but just take the time to read sections like "Top Secret" and "Discussions" for answers to your questions and comments. Many of the "Going beyond the Game" sections are updated on a regular basis. Finally, on a less joyful note, I found another big offender for the Wall of Shame. It's time this kind of thing stops. Remember the Odyssey of Hyrule is your Best source for Zelda gaming topics and issues.
1/27/99 - After hearing the Windmill man's theme hour after hour, I decided that it might be a good idea if I change the music back to the Overworld Theme. Round and round we go...ANNOYING! Adios to the Music Man.
1/27/99 - This site will be getting a major update within the next week or so. Phase 1 includes the creation of the Many Adventures of Link Section, then a change in the music. As you may already notice you are now listening to the Windmill Man's Theme. It sets that kind of weird mood to the site. It has been kind of getting strange lately with all those Triforce rumors, and psychic Zelda connections.
1/25/99 - Is there more to Zelda 64? While some have given up on the game, this site shows that there is much more true (and I do mean TRUE, not imaginary) secrets and tricks out there. Is the seemingly highly classified Triforce out there? Who knows, but at least enjoy the game for what it is, a masterpiece unparalleled by any other for the N64.
1/21/99 - The Odyssey of Hyrule debut T-Dog's bag of Zelda 64 tricks and cheats. Check these out! You will only find them here.

1/4/99 - Please be patient with updates. Since Christmas I've been inundated with Hundreds of Letters, and they all will eventially be put on the site, just give me some time. I'm really impressed with the quality some of these are showing. Keep up the good work gamers!

12/24/98 - Tomorrow is Christmas! I'll bet there will be a lot of Zelda 64's under the tree. Video Gamer X remains your source for the hottest Zelda news and strategies.
12/21/98 - Hey, how about that...New Music. Its a rather good rendition of the original The Legend of Zelda opening theme. Something that was sadly missing from Zelda 64.
12/18/98 - If you bought the game back in November or even early December it is most likely that you have completed it by now. Let Video Gamer X know what you thought about the game overall. Add your name to the Hall of Fame.
12/16/98 - Unfortunately individuals have been downloading parts of the Odyssey of Hyrule and including it on their Homepages. THIS IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED. If you do feel that the warning wasn't good enough then further action WILL be taken. I feel real bad that I had to post a message like this. It just seems that a few people are numbskulls with absolutely no sense of propriety and courtesy.
12/14/98 - Attention Zelda 64 Gamers: Lately I have been receiving questions for things that are already somewhere on the The Odyssey of Hyrule. Read the Walkthough and Strategy Guide carefully! As always, I love to get questions about Zelda. Try to stump me, I like it, just don't ask me a question I've already answered or is somewhere in the Walkthough. Thanks :)

11/23/98 - ZELDA 64 HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! Video Gamer X just got his gold copy today and will be playing all day, expect a walkthrough up soon of this awesome game!
The Odyssey of Hyrule was established on April 4, 1998 as Video Gamer X finished his site devoted to Final Fantasy VII, and wanted to pursue the next great gaming experience on the horison. Originally the site started out rather small, with just a section of Gameshots, a section on the History of the game, and some rumors about what Zelda: The Ocarina of Time would be like. Since then the site has grown substantially. My homepage has become the scene for everything that is Zelda. And so the Adventure continues...
